Maximiliano Moralez scored two goals in three minutes to win their fourth game Atalanta in Serie A win of the season by beating Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Moralez put the visitors ahead on 55 minutes before finding the back of the net again shortly after doubling the advantage.
Parma hit back through Jamie Valdes on 80 minutes but the alternate score proved to be only one goal.
Parma is now a point ahead of Atalanta in Serie A at number 14.
The game started at a furious pace and the home team squandered several scoring chances in the first half.
Within walking distance of Parma midfielder Jadid Abderazak head flew over the crossbar in the ninth minute long distance before the strike Sebastian Giovinco missed the right post.
Francesco Modesto Parma then played in the former Inter Milan striker Jonathan Biabiany, but his shot went wide after a deflection by Atalanta defender Daniele Capelli.
Giovinco then lost his job shot on 20 minutes before Stefano Morrone wasted the best chance of the half when he missed an easy tap-in from close range after a great assist from Biabiany.
Morrone then not turn Giovinco cross, just before the break the home team fell to the street your chances with the scores deadlocked at halftime.
Moralez only took 10 minutes to end the stalemate in the second half when the Atalanta anti-attacked from a corner of Parma and the striker fired into the bottom right corner.
Morales scored again three minutes later when defender Gabriel Paletta Parma missed an easy approval Matias Schelotto corner, allowing Moralez to score from close range.
Chile substitute Valdes gave hope to Parma when he shot at the bottom left corner after a pass from Massimo Gobbi, but the result was a consolation for the home team.
