A fade in when David Luiz needlessly conceded a penalty eight minutes Heidar Helguson scored, but the nine men lost more than a chance level, especially when Nicolas Anelka went straight to Paddy Kenny.

Chelsea's defeat was flying the opportunity to take advantage of humiliation derby Manchester United and the second movement of the Premier League, while leaving them six points behind Manchester City.

That merely added to the delight of local fans as they celebrated the victory of his side home for the first time since the promotion.

Personal attack on Captain Joey Barton counterpart, John Terry, six days before the couple did not stop shaking hands before kick-off, but no love lost between rival fans in what was a cracking atmosphere in the stadium Loftus Road.

Daniel Sturridge and Luiz threatened from the start, but a habit of the latter to make silly challenges cost Chelsea dear in the eighth minute when they could not cope with a long distance and defender Helguson nudged over in the box.

Referee Chris Foy said Helguson point and snatched the ball from Taraabt far from impressed Adel and sent off in the corner through the hands of Petr Cech.

The prominence was the possession without creating anything of note and then took another turn for the worse on 32 minutes when Bosingwa was sent out of controversy.

Bosingwa lowered Shaun Wright-Phillips, when the striker threatened to burst clear, Foy believes that the right to return to the last man to be red and tender.

Chelsea were furious with the decision, which was followed by Taraabt resulting curling free kick close to Cech.

Blues boss André Villas-Boas Sturridge sacrificed for Branislav Ivanovic, but the misery is far from over, with Drogba sent off to get the same four minutes before halftime.

The striker was released on two legs on Taraabt and - unlike his other two most important decisions - left-Foy, with the only option.

Villas-Boas took action again in the first half injury time, the withdrawal of Mata de Nicolas Anelka.

It seemed a lost cause for the nine men who were sent a total of two minutes before their rivals after the break.

Incredibly, they came immediately to level when Lampard was beaten only bright Raul Meireles cross.

Kenny also beat Ivanovic in a dangerous ball, but were caught before the break and John Obi Mikel was booked to dump Taraabt.

Lampard and Shaun Derry had to be dragged away from each other after a fight penalty box, with Foy booking either.

Luke Young screwed a great chance wide as Rangers finally began to make their advantage count, while Ivanovic became the last man booked for Taraabt crash.

Barton took a normal yellow to go before the end Terry Taraabt was removed from Tommy Smith in the first hour, the Moroccans to live up to its reputation of assault by the tunnel.

Young got back again five minutes later but his cross drilled straight to Cech.

Lampard was midway through the half Fitz Hall became furious when he was included in the box only to see officials unmoved.

Luiz was reserved for another poor challenge before seeing a penalty appeal turned down when he hit the deck under Helguson challenge.

Barton scored almost at the break, and Meireles was booked for dissent before being removed immediately from Florent Malouda.

But nothing could stem the tide yellow, Cole was about to pay for your reservation when Helguson volleyed over from close range.

Chelsea have been capitalized with just over 10 minutes remaining when Ivanovic put the ball on a plate of Anelka, who somehow headed the ball straight to Kenny of four meters.

Jamie Mackie replaced Derry, but Chelsea lost another great chance to level when Luiz earwig Lampard deflected over the crossbar.

With time running out, Villas-Boas made his feelings clear to the fourth official, while tempers flared when closing late Terry Kenny and the two squared in the six-yard line.
