Fulham 1 - 3 Everton 23rd Oct report
Everton took a lead of three minutes after Royston Drenthe hit an audacious shot from distance that snuck into the top corner.

It looked like Fulham had won a share of the spoils, however, thanks to the exquisite chip replacement Bryan Ruiz three minutes after coming on.

However, Miss extraordinary Saha Rodwell allowed Zamora to score and secure the victory for Merseyside.

Fulham, Martin Jol made seven changes to the party that lost 1-0 in the Europa League Wisla Krakow on Thursday.

The visitors made two changes to the team that lost 3-1 at Chelsea last week, bringing in Drenthe and Vellian Apostolos.

Despite having lost their last three games, Everton started the brightest of any visiting team at Craven Cottage this season and took an early lead.

Passing through the middle saw the ball drop incisive Drenthe, who crashed home from 30 yards.

Fulham looked like the Toffees Shellshocked continued to press forward and block only large frustrated John Arne Riise Sylvain Distin minutes later.

Apart from an attempt by Clint Dempsey earwig, the visitors dominated by the Thames and Rodwell was within inches of doubling their advantage with a header after 12 minutes.

Riise saw a shot blocked and Steve Sidwell shot out at Fulham tried to gain some authority, before Riise came up with a left foot half volley.

Everton are still grappling with the intent and, after Mark Schwarzer Drenthe tried somehow to live through Vellian Tony Hibbert over the crossbar with a header from close rebel.

The work was flitting from side to side and almost Cottagers leveling through Danny Murphy, who was a 20-yard strike in the post patted Howard.

The U.S. goalkeeper was forced to seconds later international action to prevent Dempsey teammate with a save of a single hand.

Howard managed to tip over Brede Hangeland goalbound header on the half hour mark.
