Airdrie manager Jimmy Boyle is likely to make changes in their starting lineup when they host Raith Rovers in the communities of Scotland League Cup after Saturday's loss at home 5-1 to Cowdenbeath.
The new diamond will be without injured pair of full back Graeme Goodall and the end ally Woodburn.
"We have a lot to make up for as that performance was simply not acceptable,'' said Boyle. "We are usually a side that fights for everything but that was missing, as it was against East Fife the previous week, and that has to change.''
"Raith Rovers are a good team and they will punish us as severely if not harder if we gift them opportunities we gave Cowdenbeath. We have to show a lot more than we did on Saturday if we are to progress in this competition.''
Iru-Bru First Division leaders Raith expect joint striker Brian Graham can get rid of the disease that kept him out this weekend's visit to Lanarkshire.
Captain Iain Davidson certainly a knee injury than men watching Kirkcaldy repeat his victory over Airdrie in his career at Scottish Cup semi-final in 2010.
Manager John McGlynn said, "Airdrie may have dropped down a Division since then but we will give them every bit of respect going. We will need to perform well to get through.''
"Winning this game not only gives us the chance of another Cup run but it also gives the club the chance to earn some much needed finance.''
