Lorient coach Christian Gourcuff will be looking for a positive response from his players against Marseille tomorrow after seeing their unbeaten home record ended by defeat to Lyon last time out.A second half strike from Alexandre Lacazette gave Lyon a 1-0 win at the Stade du Moustoir, where Lorient had previously picked up 18 from a possible 24 points this season, and left Gourcuff far from impressed.
Gourcuff, whose side have now lost three of their last four matches, said on www.ligue1.com: "It was hugely disappointing. It has set limits for the rest of the season. I'm very bitter after such a performance.
"We cannot afford to carry on playing like that, otherwise we'll soon find ourselves in danger.''
Lorient, who have not won away in the league since an opening-day victory over PSG, are ninth heading into this weekend's fixtures on 23 points, nine off the top four and eight above the relegation zone.
"We need to collect points. We're not going to panic, but the reality is that we're a side that are going to be playing to stay in the league,'' Gourcuff added.
Lorient's cause is not made any easier by their injury list, which could see Gilles Sunu, Jeremie Aliadiere, Gregory Bourillon, Julien Quercia, Sebastian Dubarbier and Sigamaray Diarra all missing tomorrow
Another concern for Lorient is Marseille's impressive home record, with Didier Deschamps' men having only lost once and conceded just four goals at the Stade Velodrome in the league this term.
However, OM were held to a goalless draw by Bordeaux in their last home match and that left them 11 points behind leading pair Montpellier and PSG.
Midfielder Alou Diarra is not expecting it to be easy tomorrow either, saying of Lorient on www.om.net: "They are a good Ligue 1 team, with good technical and very mobile players. Lorient are often in the top 10 because they play good football.
"This may be a positive for us to play against a team that does not close up and that takes risks. Then we can exploit any spaces.''
Marseille will be without the suspended Andre Ayew while Andre-Pierre Gignac is injured
