Miroslav Klose was the inspiration behind Germany's latest victory as he scored one and set up two for Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil in this defeat of the World Cup runners-up.
Joachim Low's side must now be regarded as one of the major candidates for glory in Poland and Ukraine next summer.
Germany have come through qualifying with a perfect record of 10 wins from 10, and having now beaten one of their nearest rivals in such convincing fashion.
Klose passed a late fitness test on a troublesome knee injury - and he set up the opening goal in the 15th minute when he laid the ball off to Muller, who provided an accurate finish from 10 yards out.
The Lazio striker then got on the scoresheet himself a little more than 10 minutes later with a stooping header from close to the penalty spot.
Klose, who missed Friday's trip to the Ukraine because of the knee problem, missed another chance 10 minutes later before coming close to reaching Ozil's cross just before the interval.
Holland's first real chance of the game came in the 54th minute when Wesley Sneijder's shot from just outside the penalty area just missed the left-hand post - but Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was little more than a spectator for most of the contest.
It was Germany who scored again in the 66th minute with Klose once again playing a major part in the goal as he set up Ozil with a neat return pass for the Real Madrid midfielder to score from close range.
Both coaches then started to make changes to their sides and the constant comings and goings led to the game losing its rhythm a little as both sides' final international appointment of the year came to an end without any more goalmouth action.
