Udinese Antonio Di Natale fired at the top of Serie A, with two goals in a 3-0 win over the Stadio Friuli in Novara.

Luck was on his side when he opened the scoring on 33 minutes, but his talent represented his second and third in the 49th minute Udinese.

Domizzi Mauri was also on target for the hosts with his first goal of the season in the 39th minute.

Filippo Porcari missed the first chance of the game in the fifth minute, but his great shot with the outside of his boot was closer than the visitors came to make all afternoon.

Di Natale put the hosts ahead on 33 minutes thanks to the persistence of Pablo Armero down the left and a deviation of Matteo Centurioni, which helped the looping ball past Alberto Fontana in the goal of Novara.

Di Natale was the supplier of the second with a corner that was received by Domizzi at the near post and his header looped over everyone else on their way to the far post.

Goal number three was the best of the bunch with Di Natale scored his sixth of the season. He curled a 25 yard free kick over the crossbar and into the top corner of the goal of Fontana.

Di Natale missed the opportunity to complete his hat-trick after an hour of play when his shot was wide of the goal and Fontana just to beat.

However, there was no doubt of the superiority of Udinese as they moved clear at the top of the table with a comfortable victory.
