Preston was made through the third round of the Trophy Johnstone painting after a win thrilling penalty shootout by 7-6 to Morelia at the Globe Arena.
Moreno lost 2-0 at the break after a poor start to the match proved costly. The shrimp was an own goal after three minutes when Brian McLean headed a free kick past Paul Parry, Barry Roche from six yards.
It was 2-0 on 21 minutes when Juhvel Tsoumou is behind the defense and finished with elegance Moreno past Roche.
Moreno returned shortly after the half hour and forced a series of half chances. Lewis Alessandra Andreas forced a decent save Arestidou, Jason Price cut for very little effort and went to Phil Jevons at the near post, but could not find the target.
