Hamilton manager Billy Reid will end his side to take on Ross County in the communities of Scotland League Cup once it is checked in the recovery of Mark McLaughlin of the disease.
The influential defender missed the 1-1 draw Saturday against Partick Thistle, while midfielder Alex Neil is still sidelined by injury.
"Mark and Alex are two of our most experienced players and whilst the boys that have come in have done well, I would like to have an experienced side out in an important cup tie,'' Reid said.
"Ross County will be coming here looking to make up for the 5-1 win we had over them in the league the other Saturday so we will need to be ready for that.''
County travel south without midfielder Stuart Kettlewell, who is banned following his ejection in the 2-0 win over Queen of the South over the weekend.
Striker Steven Craig is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to net both goals in the Dingwall side and defender Jonny Flynn is available after the ban.
Russell Duncan and Iain Vigurs can return from injury of the thigh, but the game seems to have come too soon for Darren McCormack, Garry Miller and Sam Morrow despite the trio's return to training.
