Lille coach Rudi Garcia is looking forward to making history with his side when he leads them out for the first time at their new ground tomorrow night.
Nancy are the first visitors to Grand Stade Lille Metropole, a 50,000-seater stadium which also boasts the first retractable roof at a sporting venue in France.
It marks the beginning of a new adventure for Lille, who are looking to build on their 2-1 victory at St Etienne on the opening weekend of Ligue 1.
Garcia told www.losc.fr: "We want to make history with a win.
"While all eyes are turned on the stadium, I have no concerns over the players' state of mine. They are very keen to win in that first home match and build on what we started in St Etienne.
"It is a huge honour to be the first coach to lead the lads out at the stadium. Hopefully, it will add strength to the team and impress clubs who visit us.
"We will take great pleasure in taking to the pitch here.''
Nancy were also victorious in their season opener, beating Brest 1-0.
However, goalkeeper Guy N'dy Assembe expects things to be much tougher against a Lille side who finished third in the league last term.
"We have a job ahead of us,'' he said on www.asnl.net.
"In my opinion, Lille will be on the podium at the end of the season and they could even finish as champions ahead of PSG.
"Lille have good technical qualities that allow them to monopolise the ball and create many chances. On paper it will be difficult but we proved last season we can cause problems for big teams.''
Nancy defender Helder is suspended for the trip to Lille while Ziri Hammar and Abdourahman Dampha are injured.
