Watford vs Doncaster Rovers preview
Watford boss Sean Dyche has no new injury or suspension concerns ahead of the New Year's Eve encounter at home to Doncaster.Dyche made just the one change for the Boxing Day draw against Cardiff at Vicarage Road - restoring fit-again Carl Dickinson into his line-up with the left-back having recovered from illness.
And Dyche may well keep faith with the same team as his Hornets side aim to make it eight matches unbeaten against a Rovers outfit second from bottom in the npower Championship.
Striker Chris Iwelumo returned to the bench against the Bluebirds having recovered from a virus of his own, joining Lloyd Doyley among the substitutes after the defender was dropped upon Dickinson's return.
Long-term absentees Martin Taylor (dislocated collarbone) and Stephen McGinn (knee) continue to make good progress with their respective comebacks but miss out.
Doncaster will be without suspended midfielder Brian Stock.
Stock was booked for the fifth time this season in Rovers' 3-0 defeat at Burnley on Boxing Day and must serve a one-match ban.
His place could be taken by on-loan Blackburn youngster Herold Goulon, who has fully recovered from a hamstring injury.
Pascal Chimbonda returned to the bench at Turf Moor following a hip-flexor problem and the 32-year-old full-back will be pushing for a return to the starting line-up on the back of extending his contract with Doncaster until the end of the season.
El-Hadji Diouf is fit to play after the club revealed his withdrawal against Burnley on his comeback from a hamstring complaint was merely precautionary.
Long-term groin injury victim Martin Woods has returned to training but the New Year's Eve clash comes too soon for him
