Burnley vs Hull City preview
Defender Michael Duff is an injury doubt as Burnley prepare to host Hull on New Year's Eve.Duff recently returned from a spell on the sidelines with a medial ligament injury, although it was discomfort from his hamstring that forced him off during the 3-0 Boxing Day win over Doncaster at Turf Moor.
Clarets boss Eddie Howe told Press Association Sport: "Michael Duff will be rated as doubtful, we'll have to see how he is. We're not sure about the extend of his injury yet.
"He felt his hamstring but he felt a bit of cramp so we're still trying to ascertain whether it was cramp or whether it's a little, slight pull.''
Elsewhere Howe has no other fresh worries as his in-form side look to build on an impressive run of five wins in six npower Championship outings.
Hull defender Liam Rosenior will miss the clash through suspension.
The full-back was booked in the Boxing Day defeat at Middlesbrough and sits out a one-game ban under the totting-up procedure.
Republic of Ireland international Paul McShane and fellow defender Joe Dudgeon will both come into contention.
Midfielder Seyi Olofinjana could also return to the squad for the first time this season following knee surgery in the summer.
The Nigerian, who spent last season on loan at Cardiff, recently played for 70 minutes in a reserve-team game, but remains short of match fitness.
Manager Nick Barmby named an unchanged starting line-up on Boxing Day, but apart from Rosenior's suspension could opt to shake things up by recalling wingers Robbie Brady and Richard Garcia to his starting line-up.
