Lior Refaelov and Rami Gershon scored early added an injury time strike, as Israel rounded up their qualifying campaign for Euro 2012 with a 2-0 win in Malta to confirm third place in Group F.
Luis Fernandez's men, who began the night with no hope of catching the first two, Greece and Croatia went through the motions to claim the victory that ended his campaign said Malta with a single point.
Bebra Natkho Refaelov and both had early chances before the visitors opened the scoring Rafaelov on 11 minutes, sliding left-footed home from six yards after a separation of an attempt to Gareth Sciberras.
