Denmark ceded to victory in Cyprus to make the result of the Euro 2012 Group F qualifying dependent in the last match against Portugal on Tuesday.
Dennis Rommedahl scored twice as the visitors roared into a four-goal lead inside 22 minutes, with Lars Jacobsen Michael Krohn-Dehli and also in the minutes.
Andreas Avraam pulled one back in added time of the first half and both sides hit the post at the beginning of the second half, however it also saw the scoreboard.
Jacobsen was the surprise scorer seven minutes, the right side of Copenhagen to appear on the right side of penalty area to fire in the corner for his first international goal.
