Belgium kept their hopes of advancing to the final of Euro 2012 with life after a convincing win over Kazakhstan to 10 men in the Roi Baudouin in Brussels.
A Timmy Simons penalty and strikes and Vincent Kompany Eden Hazard put the home team in control before late own goal gave Vitaly Yevstigneev Belgium a 4-0 lead.
Kairat Nurdauletov late penalty was a consolation for the visitors, who had Nurtas Kurgulin ejected for violent conduct after a foul on Mertens Dries in 58 minutes.
The result: Belgium moved into second place in Group A after play-off rivals Turkey fell against the leaders of Germany and fell to third place, one point behind Belgium, which are now on 15 points.
Kazakhstan still lower than the group with no chance of qualifying.
