Gomez has collected eight goals with Bayern in the Bundesliga. Bayern itself had made a total of 21 goals in the competition.
Aguero was also successfully packed as eight goals in the Premier League for the City, which as a whole has made 19 goals in six games.
However, both Gomez and Aguero are both yet to score his first goal for their respective teams in the Champions League this season.
Matchday 1 in the middle of last week, Gomez was unable to contribute to the goals as Bayern won 2-0 at home to Villarreal. Gomez also only played for 45 minutes.
Aguero also failed to contribute a goal when Manchester City were detained Napoli 1-1 at Etihad Stadium. Aguero was playing throughout the game.
Now on Matchday 2, they both must inevitably collide sharpness when Bayern entertain City on Tuesday(09/27/2011). Gomez is back to defend Bayern after a groin injury shortly. Aguero himself will again be a priority in front-line City, perhaps paired with Carlos Tevez following unsatisfactory performance Edin Dzeko in the league last weekend.
